$1,000 SCHOLARSHIP
Better Living for Seniors Hillsborough (BLS) is currently accepting applications for its $1,000 academic scholarship. This award will be granted to a student in good academic standing who is enrolled in a formal post-secondary program and pursuing a career that involves working with older adults. Applicants must be residents of Hillsborough County.
The deadline to submit the application and essay is
June 4, 2026.

BLS Mission Statement
The mission of Better Living for Seniors Hillsborough (“BLS”) is to provide a forum for
community members and professionals who work with older adults and their caregivers
to build professional relationships, share information, and educate each other. By doing
so, BLS Hillsborough strives to empower its members with the knowledge and resources they
need to advocate for, provide guidance to and improve the quality of life for older adults
and their caregivers.
Helping the Homebound provides basic quality-of-life items for homebound seniors who reside in Hillsborough County. Our next delivery is planned for December.
